No Time Like the Present (50-50 Post #1)
I took a personality test where one of the questions was, "Are you the type of person who prefers to start projects or finish them?" I like to finish them. The starting part has always been the hard part for me. I put things off for no particular reason. Since I’ve committed myself to writing fifty one-hundred word posts in fifty days, and because the thought of it scared me, I decided to start writing right away. My plan is to write them every morning. Start each day with the one thing I won’t want to start at all.

I'm good at starting. Want to collaborate?

How I wish you hadn't started this ... because now I feel an insatiable urge to copy you. Mostly because, like Dorothy Parker, I have lots of ideas for blog posts, mostly while out walking the dog, but never quite find the time to sit down and write. So 50 x 100 would be good to build a new habit. But could I cheat? Write a bunch and then dribble them out? We shall see. And how accurate does it need to be? See, your post is eactly 100 words, according to BBEdit. But OOC's first post is 101.

Snag, I sent you an email.
Jeremy,
How I wish you hadn't started this ... because now I feel an insatiable urge to copy you.
It *does* have a strong pull for some reason, doesn't it? I bookmarked OOC's blog awhile ago and the challenge has been taunting me for weeks.
RE the rules. I would say -- make your own -- whatever you feel comfortable with.
your post is eactly 100 words, according to BBEdit. But OOC's first post is 101.
That OOC -- he's so wordy...
lol.

I'm a starter as well.
Will you still put up a post if it turns out to be 102 words or will that be disqualified? I'm a starter and I usually don't finish because I get hung up in the rules. :)

Foolish people. Since it appears to be too late for blue girl, I will offer her condolences in advance and advise her that contractions will be her best friend.
Jeremy, you have stung me. I wrote those posts in Word using the recount button as I edited. I hyphenated one-hundred (wrong), which is where the discrepancy is. Use 100 and it's okay. I would have been more careful if I'd known these post would have actually been read.

Hey OOC!
I will ... advise her that contractions will be her best friend.
I've already learned.
lol.
