I wish our public officials would watch as well. They've stoked the hate and name-calling. When the people we're supposed to look up to do it (or any underhanded thing) it suddenly seems OK.

Yes, you're right, Jennifer. This:
"The behavior you reinforce gets repeated."
Our "leaders'" behavior is then reinforced by the pundits and then the political junkies reinforce it in their own way by taking sides, letting their own words and behavior get out of hand. The cycle goes on and on.
We've become used to reinforcing (and rewarding) the completely wrong kind of behavior. It's killing us.
