"She's everything that That Girl should Be!"

but, no pressure...

BOSSY

What song? Bossy is mesmerized by her eyelashes.

blue girl

belledame222, I don't remember feeling pressure when I was 7 or however old I was when that show was on. I remember thinking how dopey it was. And her acting in that clip above reminds me of how I felt. That intro song is so over the top. I love the part where she's standing there with the American flag! She's so all-American and patriotic!

Bossy, watch when she's in the window as the princess. Those eyelashes are so thick and heavy! How could you blink all day with those things? How much glue did she have to use? I'm surprised her eyes didn't get glued shut.

The whole thing's cute though. Reminds me of being little.

Jennifer

For as retro as she looks etc, I do remember it being a big deal at the time that her character openly took birth control pills! Anne Marie doing the nasty with the Donald!!!

The Viscount

I missed a lot of the dialog in the clip because I couldn't hear it over Donald's tie...

I finally had time to use The Google.

That show was on from 1966 - 1971. That's not a show that I've ever watched in re-runs. So, I haven't seen it in 36 years, but I know every single word of that song. Don't remember much about my actual life from when I was seven (I'd love to be able to zip back in time to see it all again! Not live it, just view it from afar.) But, ask me about any TV show theme song. I know 'em all.

My favorite from that time period?

People, let me tell you 'bout my best friend
He's a warm hearted person who'll love me till the end-a...

Jennifer

I love that one too, BG, but I was also thinking about,

"Soft and sweet
Wise and wonderful
Oooh our mystical, magical nanny... Phoebe Figalilly is a silly name, and so many silly things keep happening..."

Okay, I'll stop.

Adorable Girlfriend

I love it!

I've actually never seen the show until now.

I also love seeing the NYC shot in the opening.
