Just read Melissa's Quote of the Day:
"Please, please, please, let me wake up tomorrow and it will be 2000 and Al Gore won in a landslide."—Fixer
And also her first commenter, K.T. Slager's comment:
We only have a little over a year to go. OH GOD.
Reminded me of what The Skimmer bought last week that I quickly snatched right up for myself...
It's not that I'm all that overjoyed with any of the Democrats at the moment, (I seem to be agreeing with Dennis Perrin more these days than anyone else) but I sure can't wait until Bush is gone. Somehow, just wearing the baseball cap makes the all caps OH GOD sentiment above easier to take, knowing that the end of his reign is coming soon. Hopefully.
Reduce your We only have a little over a year to go. OH GOD. anxiety by going here to get your own cap or coffee mug.
I'd avoid the merchandise with the peace sign and the 1/20/09 date though. Don't think that's going to happen.
I'm with you, Blue, about these Dem candidates. But then they are politicians, aren't they? It seems that by the time nearly anyone makes it to any minor level of importance in politics they are already so deeply compromised morally that they're operating with about one half of a soul, if that.

I was so p-o'd, I had to say it twice.

Don't even get me started on the Democrats. Did you see Morning Joe this morning when Naomi Wolf was on? I think she's right, the gov, with their unbridled "surveillance" has dirt on ALL!!! And they are cowering. They were elected to CHANGE things. 74% of the country wants CHANGE! And yet they're [email protected]! They are going along with anything and everything. I think I'm going to get a hat that says, "1-20-09... everyone who's in, is OUT!!!"
Okay, I'll go breathe now.

That's ok Dan, the more your name appears on my comments list, the cooler my blog is.
I just feel like, with the Democrats not standing up at all, with all the support they have to change things right now that they're not interested in changing anything at all. They're just waiting in the wings to get theirs.
To heck with the majority. Bush has proved that what the majority of this country thinks doesn't matter on iota. Boy, he's ruined a lot. Or maybe we have, because we are not DEMANDING better from these people.

No, Jennifer. I didn't see Joe S. this morning. He's getting on my nerves. He can be very pompous. Really full of himself. I wish Mika Brzezinski would haul off the punch him right in the face.
What did he say to Naomi Wolf?

I am already suffering from election fatigue. A year is a mighty long time.

Catherine, get a hat. I swear to God -- it's got secret powers.
Posted by: blue girl | October 03, 2007 at 07:33 PM
"My country went to war and all I got was this stupid hat."
I'm sorry, it's a nice hat but I couldn't resist.

I love it Snag!

I want my hat back! Although it does look damn good on you.
Ron Paul in 08! He's the only one who is not part of the upper 1/10 of 1 percent. Kucinich isn't either, but Paul might have a better chance.
Posted by: Skimmer | October 04, 2007 at 11:27 AM
Kucinich all the way!

What a great hat. Wouldn't a glimpse into the parallel Gore Universe be interesting/sad?
Posted by: BOSSY | October 04, 2007 at 02:37 PM
I want that Glimpse!
The hat the Dems have yet to make seem all that worthwhile...
The way she's voting, "Hitlery" doesn't sound like just right-wing hyperbole. What'll she do? Get us out of Iraq by, ooohhh, I don't know, 2011? Just in time to start the next electioneering drive.
(though the hat does look damn good on ya, BG.)
