The Skimmer and I took the long way to Short North, all the way up High Street.
At a red light near Ohio State, this came on the radio.
“If you weren’t in the car, I would be absolutely blaring this.”
“Well, then, I’m here to save you from yourself.”
I turned it up.
“What? What did you say? I can't hear you.”
And then it was as if everyone on the sidewalks around us -- walking alone or with friends, some serious, some laughing; all wind blown, all red-nosed – were all heading their own way, all in their own way.
I can dig it!

I knew the groove would get into you, Skimmer!

The only Sly track in Paul Williams's* 100 Best Singles of Rock and Roll. But since it references so many of his other tracks, still a great starting point for the last band before rock segregated again.
*Not the short dude whose documentary is Must See TV on Showtime right now; the guy who founded Crawdaddy.

I remember that song!
How's Columbus? I haven't been there in two months.
